What is Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation?

Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation is a fully programmable application (App) designed to help you automatically open, close, or otherwise set your motorized window treatments.

The Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation is compatible with all the popular smart-home systems and many more. You can control it with the wall-mount Hunter Douglas Pebble® Remote control, or use voice request by pairing it to a smart-home system such as Apple Siri®, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant, Control 4®, Crestron®, Elan®, IFTTT, Logitech®, Loxone, RTI®, Savant, and URC®.

The Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation App is compatible with your tablet, or Android™ and Apple® smartphone. In turn, your Apple Home App (and others) allows use through any of their devices.

The Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation App won the prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award of 2018, giving PowerView® its quality and good design seal.

Programming the timing of the movements of your motorized shades has many practical applications:

• Going cordless provides you with complete peace of mind for your young children or pets.
• Achieve improved summertime energy efficiency in your home by programming your blinds to close during the hottest part of the day, thereby reducing your cooling bill.
• Let in as much sunlight as possible during the winter months to cut back on your heating costs.
• Window treatments can be scheduled to open and close at specific times to promote a waking routine and make bedtime less work.
• Use Scenes to program each window shade separately to move any time you like to your specified positions.
• Even when you’re vacationing in another part of the world, you can adjust your window shades using the Hunter Douglas Remote Connect™ feature.
• The Hunter Douglas PowerView® App can also lock your doors and arm your security system by you saying, for example, “Alexa, it’s bedtime.”

The Hunter Douglas PowerView® Hub is an information hub (similar to how your devices connect to your home’s wifi hub, for instance) that sits centrally in your home. The PowerView® App connects to it and sources the system’s settings that are stored within the Hub.

Hunter Douglas has a signal extender available. Please ask our friendly staff at Covers Designer’s Edge about the Hunter Douglas PowerView® Repeater so that you can use voice-request, whether from out in the garden or from the other end of your home’s basement.

In case of a power outage, reset your PowerView® by pressing and holding the STOP button on your remote until it stops blinking, about six seconds. We will provide you with access to tips for troubleshooting PowerView® Product.
